DENVER (KDVR) — Gas prices are unusually low around the Denver metro on Wednesday, with some areas selling gas for $1.49 per gallon.
GasBuddy, a website that tracks gas prices, recorded low gas prices on Wednesday morning. In Denver, gas was mostly $2.29 a gallon at several gas stations, with some reporting gas stations like Shell on East Evans Avenue at $1.49 and QuikTrip on East Evans Avenue at $1.51 per gallon.
Why are gas prices different around the Denver metro?
Outside of Denver, several other gas stations recorded low prices as well. GasBuddy recorded prices like $1.72 at a QuikTrip in Thornton, $1.95 at a Phillips 66 in Westminster and $1.79 at a Costco in Aurora.
