A 21-year-old Aurora man was identified as the victim of a head-on crash that took place on U.S. 9 northwest of Silverthorne Tuesday morning.
The man, who was driving a Dodge Dakota pickup truck, was driving northbound on the highway when he lost control and began to drift into the southbound lane just before 8 a.m. Tuesday, according to a Wednesday news release from Colorado State Patrol.
At that moment, a Ford F350 driven by a 32-year-old Silverthorne man in the southbound lane hit the passenger side of the Dodge, sending both vehicles off the side of the road, according to the release. The crash took place about a dozen miles northwest of Silverthorne…
