DENVER (KDVR) — The suspect in an alleged armed carjacking in Littleton that led to a vehicle pursuit and gun battle with law enforcement on Monday has been identified as 43-year-old Daniel Reynaldo Tolentino.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said Tolentino was armed with a gun when he approached an individual who was attempting to wash his car at a car wash at the intersection of Broadway and Panama Drive at 8:22 p.m. The man, who was not injured, handed over the keys to his vehicle to Tolentino, the sheriff’s office said.

DCSO said its deputies, after receiving a bulletin from the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office to be on the lookout for an armed carjacking suspect, located the suspect driving the stolen vehicle in the Highland Ranch area and initiated a pursuit shortly after 8:30 p.m.
