Former Centennial school worker sentenced for assault

PARKER, Colo. — A man who worked at a Centennial school will spend the next three decades of his life in prison.

Christopher Ballard, 28, was sentenced to 30 years in the Department of Corrections for first-degree assault with serious bodily injury using a deadly weapon. The other charges against him were dismissed due to a plea agreement he took in October, according to court records.

In 2024, Ballard was arrested at his home in Lakewood on multiple felony counts of sexual assault on a child. A search warrant was also executed at that home, according to investigators…
