Man suspected of killing toddler was ‘unhinged’

A man arrested on suspicion of killing a toddler in southwest Denver was described as “aggressive” and “unhinged” by others living in the household, according to police.

Nicolas Stout, 38, faces charges of first-degree murder and child abuse resulting in death after Denver police arrested him Sunday afternoon in connection with the death of the 2-year-old daughter of his girlfriend, 38-year-old Melissa Wayne, according to the probable cause affidavit.
