DENVER (KDVR) — A Denver chef, known for his cooking that earned Bruto a Michelin star, is competing in “America’s Culinary Cup” for the biggest cash prize in culinary television history.
“America’s Culinary Cup” is a television competition series that features signature cooking challenges for the “10 culinary commandments,” and in late January, the 16 contestants set to compete in the show were announced.

Between a James Beard winner from North Carolina and a Bocuse d’Or gold medalist in Texas, Denver Chef Michael Diaz de Leon is joining the competition. Diaz de Leon was a chef at Bruto when it won its Michelin star and just opened Molino Chido in Stanley Marketplace.
