DENVER (KDVR) — Thousands of people and their best friends flooded the streets of Golden on Saturday, breaking the all-time attendance record for the annual Goldens in Golden event.
Today known as the unofficial world’s largest gathering of golden retrievers, Goldens in Golden started in 2019 and has grown to a massive event bringing attendees and their dogs from dozens of states and several other countries to the historic Colorado mining town.

Last year, Visit Golden said there was an estimated 10,000 humans and 3,500 dogs celebrating the beloved breed in Golden.
