JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. — Questions surround the sequence of events that ended with Arvada High School hiring a teacher who’d left another district after administrators substantiated allegations that the man had secretly filmed middle school boys.
Now that teacher, Patricio Illanes, faces 40 separate counts of sexual exploitation of a child, accused of filming boys as young as 12 – some naked and some performing sex acts, according to court documents obtained by 9NEWS Investigates.
