DENVER (KDVR) — Sections of two previously one-way streets in Denver’s East Colfax neighborhood were converted to two-way streets last week, but a city councilwoman says the city didn’t effectively communicate the change or update signage, potentially putting residents in danger.
The sections are 16-block stretches of 13th Avenue and 14th Avenue between Quebec Street and Yosemite Street, and Councilwoman Shontel Lewis, whose district includes the East Colfax neighborhood, posted a video on Facebook Wednesday evening alerting her constituents about the abrupt change.
