Mug Shot Monday: Denver Cops Hunt Christaniece Navarro In Deadly-Weapon Assault Case

Denver police turned their weekly “Mug Shot Monday” social media spotlight into a citywide manhunt request this week, asking for help finding 29-year-old Christaniece Navarro, who is wanted on a warrant alleging first-degree assault with a deadly weapon. The department shared a recent photo and basic physical details in hopes that someone recognizes her.

According to the Denver Police Facebook post, Navarro, born May 19, 1996, is listed as about 5 feet 4 inches tall and 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Police say she is wanted on a first-degree assault-with-a-deadly-weapon warrant and included her mug shot in the post to generate tips.

Anyone with information about Navarro’s whereabouts is asked to submit tips through the Metro Denver Crime Stoppers tip form or by calling 720-913-STOP (7867). The tip portal notes that submissions can be made anonymously and includes an option to request a reward for qualifying information.

Police say Navarro has prior convictions

The Denver police post lists a criminal history for Navarro that includes felony menacing, possession of a controlled substance, assault, fraud, child abuse, reckless endangerment and theft, according to the Denver Police Facebook post. The department also noted that it “will expire the post upon confirmation of booking.”
