Residents in parts of Boulder and Jefferson counties should be prepared to have their power shut off Saturday afternoon, Xcel Energy said Thursday.
The power company said it was “planning for a possible Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) beginning on Saturday, March 14, beginning around 2 p.m.” in a post on its website.
The National Weather Service in Boulder has issued a Fire Weather Watch for the Interstate 25 corridor and the northeast plains of Colorado from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday.
