DENVER (KDVR) — There was a large police presence near Thornton High School on Friday afternoon due to an investigation that ultimately found that threats to harm students were part of a false report.
The Thornton Police Department said in a post around 2:50 p.m. that there was a “large police presence” amid an investigation in the 9400 block of Washington Street, which is near Thornton High School, and not far from Thornton Middle School and Thornton Elementary School.
Police had asked the public to avoid the area during the investigation.
