Lakewood Navigation Center reopens with 24/7 shelter and resource model

LAKEWOOD, Colo. — A newly renovated navigation center in Lakewood is now operating around the clock after opening March 10, offering overnight shelter and services for up to 100 people experiencing homelessness, as city leaders respond to a sharp regional increase in need.

City officials said the facility, which previously operated only as a daytime service center through RecoveryWorks in 2023 for up to 75 people, has been transformed into a 24/7, year-round shelter designed to help people transition off the streets.
