Cars, trucks, SUVs and more on display at 120th annual Colorado Auto Show

Several hundred cars and thousands of car enthusiasts rolled into the convention center this weekend for the 120th annual Colorado Auto Show.

The auto show began Friday at 10 a.m. at the Colorado Convention Center and is scheduled to run until 6 p.m. Sunday. The show has a long history, beginning in 1904 and skipping a year here and there for World War II and COVID-19.

Eric Beutz, chair of the board of the auto show, said the name was changed last year from the Denver Auto Show to its current name, with the idea being to place an emphasis on vehicles that represent the spirit of the entire state of Colorado, not just Denver.

“People are looking for vehicles that connect them to the Colorado lifestyle, which is why we push so hard to get such a large outdoor and adventure segment,” Beutz said. “The cars you see in Denver deviate a little bit from what you see in the rest of the state.”…
