Could it snow again in Denver this spring?

DENVER (KDVR) — After a warm winter with little snow, Denver has seen a burst of snow this spring, and it might not be done just yet.

The winter was one of the warmest on record, with historically low snowpack and hot temperatures. In March, Denver’s snowiest month of the year, temperatures reached the 80s. While it’s nearly summer now, there still might be a little snow left for Colorado.

Pinpoint Weather Meteorologist Travis Michels said there still could be some flakes in Denver on Monday night if it gets cold enough. However, the chances for accumulation are low, which could wrap up the last chances of snow in Denver. That said, April is the second snowiest month in Denver, and the last snow comes around the end of April, so there still is a chance for snow.

While it’s up in the air (no pun intended) if Denver gets a last bit of snow, Michels said the Palmer Divide shows chances for a little accumulation on Thursday and Friday. That looks like the last best chance for the metro and the Palmer Divide…
