GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – Wednesday is a First Alert Weather Day for the mountains. Heavy snow is likely to disrupt travel between the Western Slope and the Front Range. We can get some limited rain here on the Western Slope, but the snow will stay in the mountains.

Wednesday will start cloudy with areas of rain ending by 8-9 AM. We’ll warm from upper 30s and lower 40s at 7 AM to upper 40s and lower 50s at noon, then to mid-to-upper 50s at 4 PM. High temperatures in the afternoon will be near 60 degrees around Grand Junction, 56 degrees around Montrose, 60 degrees around Delta, 59 degrees around Cortez, and 65 degrees around Moab. Low temperatures in the morning will be near 41 degrees around Grand Junction, 39 degrees around Montrose, 41 degrees around Delta, 33 degrees around Cortez, and 45 degrees around Cortez…
