A man has been charged with speeding and driving recklessly before a Valentine’s Day crash in Jefferson County that left two people dead.
Damien Lee Sronce, 25, faces two counts of vehicular homicide reckless driving, and one count each of lack of compulsory insurance, speeding and reckless driving.
The crash happened at about 8 p.m. Feb. 14 at the intersection of West Colfax Avenue and Youngfield Street, according to a Colorado State Patrol arrest affidavit.
