Madison County Sheriff’s Office: Man Admits To Shooting, Killing His Mother

(Madison County, IA) — A Central Iowa man investigators say admitted to killing his mother is facing a murder charge. Madison County Sheriff Jason Barnes says deputies responded to a rural home for a welfare check Monday morning, and found 60-year-old Tammy Corkrean deceased with multiple gunshot wounds. Investigators say they were questioning the victim’s son, 23-year-old Theodore Corkrean, when he admitted to shooting his mother on Sunday. He’s facing a first-degree homicide charge, and is in custody at the Madison County Jail.
