DES MOINES, Iowa — We’ve seen some incredible rainfall totals over the past 24 to 48 hours, with the heaviest falling in northern Polk and Jasper counties and in southern Story county.
We flirted with the state 24-hour rainfall total in a couple of spots, but fell just below the mark as it stands. The animation below shows the rounds of thunderstorms over Polk, Jasper, Story and Marshall counties from Thursday afternoon into Saturday morning.
