WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Authorities say they have made a second arrest in the West Des Moines July 4th shooting that killed a minor.
The West Des Moines Police Department, on Thursday, announced they had arrested 17-year-old Miles Lee and charged him with 1st Degree Murder in the case. Authorities say Lee was arrested without incident and will be charged as an adult due to the severity of the allegations.
Police say the shooting occurred around 10:35 p.m. on July 4th. West Des Moines officers were called to the 1100 block of 20th Place on reports of a large party with gunfire.
