DES MOINES, Iowa — Des Moines Parks and Recreation’s spraygrounds will return to normal hours on Tuesday, nearly a month-and-a-half after reduced hours were implemented at the request of Central Iowa Water Works.
The spraygrounds first limited their hours on June 2, when CIWW implemented a Stage Two Water Alert. Under the alert, the water utility asked its 600,000 customers to voluntarily cut lawn watering in half.
