WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — A West Des Moines man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for a 2025 Walgreens robbery and other crimes.
In June 2026, 32-year-old Bashir Omar Yussuf was convicted of first-degree robbery by a Polk County jury for holding someone at gunpoint in November 2025. On Friday, Yussuf was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
