DES MOINES, Iowa — Waiting in line can be one of the biggest struggles at the Iowa State Fair, but a local business is tackling that challenge head-on.
EatFuti, a Des Moines-based company that offers food delivery and marketing for local businesses is launching the ability to order food and have it picked up at the Iowa State Fair.
EatFuti has five pickup locations around the fairgrounds — near the administration building, the giant slide, the beer tent, the horse barn, and near the First Aid location. They’ve partnered with almost 30 food vendors, including Winn and Sara’s Kitchen, Destination Grille, Josephine’s Glazed Donuts, Whatcha Smokin’ BBQ, HoQ, JR’s South Pork Ranch, and Minneapple Pie.

The service will be convenient for those hoping to avoid lines, and for people working the fair. “Just normal people that are working at the fair, when they have their lunch break, they’re like ‘oh my gosh I only have a half hour long break and I have to wait so long for food.’ Or ‘I don’t get to try this new food that’s over there because I don’t have time to rush over there,’” explains Savannah Nguyen, EatFuti’s social media manager. “They can do that, they can try the food, order it through their phone and then take their lunch break.”…
