AMES, Iowa — The 44th annual Iowa Governor’s Charity Steer Show raised more than $572,000 for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Iowa.
The fundraiser, held August 15 at the Iowa State Fair, pushed the event’s total donations past $6.5 million since it started in 1983. All money raised benefits the three independent Ronald McDonald House Charities of Iowa, located in Des Moines, Iowa City and Sioux City.
