Indianola Man’s Probation Revoked, Ordered to Serve Prison Sentence

An Indianola man arrested for sexual abuse and possession of child sexual abuse material has had his probation revoked. He has been ordered to serve prison time following a Warren County court hearing Tuesday.

According to court records, 33-year-old Christopher Joseph Goodale was found to have violated the terms of his probation. The court revoked his probation and ordered him to serve the sentences originally imposed in two cases: one of up to two years and another of up to five years. The sentences will run concurrently, meaning they will be served simultaneously. Goodale was ordered into the custody of the Iowa Department of Corrections at the IMCC Oakdale facility.

The court’s order says probation violation reports had been filed on five occasions between May 2025 and July 2026. The two underlying cases date to 2022 and 2024. The 2022 case involved a felony charge of second-degree sexual abuse. According to the criminal complaint, the allegation involved a child at a gathering in Indianola.
