A Des Moines woman was arrested Thursday in connection with a June incident in which she allegedly assaulted a Waukee woman and threatened her with a firearm.
Shelby Louise Smith, 22, of 501 Scandia Ave., Des Moines, was charged with domestic abuse assault-with intent or displays a weapon and intimidation with a dangerous weapon-injure/provoke fear.
The incident occurred June 9 at a residence in the 700 block of N.E. Horizon Drive in Waukee, where Smith allegedly “pointed a loaded firearm” at the victim and “demanded her to give back her engagement rings,” according to court records…
