The National Weather Service in Des Moines is warning of the potential for severe weather and heavy rainfall across parts of Iowa Tuesday into early Wednesday.
The greatest threat for severe storms is expected between 4 p.m. and midnight Tuesday. Damaging winds are expected to be the primary concern, although large hail and an isolated tornado or two cannot be ruled out.
