Out of Control Pickup Destroys Iowa Home Wall and Leaves Residents Shaken
Nobody was home. But the house wasn’t so lucky.
A pickup truck driver lost control on NE 64th Street in Pleasant Hill, Iowa around 10 a.m. Monday morning, veered off the road, hit a tree, and pushed it straight through the home’s front doors before the vehicle slammed into the structure itself.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office via KCCI, no serious injuries were reported. Deputies confirmed impairment has already been ruled out, meaning this wasn’t a drunk driving incident. The preliminary investigation points to the driver simply losing control of the vehicle.
