There’s been an unusual amount of uncertainty during the past 36 hours or so regarding snowfall amounts and placement across Iowa from early morning to midday on Tuesday. Below is a gallery of images showing a variety of the latest computer model forecasts of snow totals by afternoon. Things are coming into better agreement. It appears we’ll begin the day with some light freezing rain south and central. This will change over to wet snow quickly, with accumulations of a dusting to around a half inch in the metro to 1-2″ east and south of Des Moines.
