Other vehicles were damaged after they ran over the pole. At least six vehicles were damaged in the incident, according to Sgt. Parizek. No injuries were reported.

The incident caused a major slowdown on I-235 during the morning commute. There were emergency crews on the scene until 8:26 a.m. when the far right line was re-opened.

Several other accidents have been reported around the metro due to slippery roads from re-freezing overnight.
