A family’s story continues with a new chapter for Des Moines’ Storey Kenworthy.
Ryan Boyington, 42, has been appointed president of the long-established office supply and equipment company, succeeding his wife’s uncle, John Kenworthy, who will retain the title of CEO.
Boyington becomes the fourth generation of the family to lead the company as either president or CEO.
Kenworthy, 58, who has headed the company that includes office design specialist Workspace since 2011, joined the family business in 1990. He was preceded in the leadership role by his brother Dave, who is Boyington’s father-in-law.
More: Tanner Krause’s ‘dream job’ was Kum & Go CEO. He no longer holds that post. What’s next?
Boyington previously held the position of partner-vice president of operations and most recently led the company’s furniture installation, supply and project management divisions. He started out as director of office products in 2014, was promoted to vice president in 2017 and became a partner in 2021.
