Nearly a month after a deadly shooting at Perry High School, the Perry Police Department was notified of threats made against the school over the weekend that were to be carried out on Monday. After a thorough investigation the threats were deemed not credible, the police department said.
On Monday officers with the Des Moines Police Department responded to a report of an alleged hostage situation at Lincoln High School. According to police, the caller, who identified himself as a student, told dispatchers he was holding another student hostage in a bathroom and was going to shoot her.
