Des Moines man charged in Eyeglass World robbery

DES MOINES, Iowa — A Des Moines man was arrested on Thursday in connection to an armed robbery at an Eyeglass World store in January.

On Jan. 29 officers with the Des Moines Police Department responded to a report of a robbery at the Eyeglass World store on SE 14th Street. According to police, two men stole multiple eyeglass frames and pointed firearms at store employees.

On Thursday officers arrested 25-year-old Mason Bernie Galvan in connection to the robbery. Galvan was booked into the Polk County Jail and charged with first-degree robbery.

Police are still searching for the second suspect in the case.
