PLEASANT HILL, Iowa — A student has now been charged for allegedly making threats toward fellow classmates at Southeast Polk Junior High School last week.

The Pleasant Hill Police Department said a school resource officer and school administrators were informed of a threat made against a student at the junior high school on Friday. Over the weekend officers investigated the threat and found the student believed to be responsible.
Police said due to the student’s comments causing concerns over the safety of their fellow classmates, they have been charged with terrorist threats. The student’s name is not being released as he or she is a minor.
