Norwalk Schools Welcome New Associate Superintendent, Jen Sigrist

The Norwalk Community School District (NCSD) in Iowa has appointed Jen Sigrist as the new Associate Superintendent of Teaching and Learning. The Norwalk Board of Directors approved this decision on February 12, 2024. Sigrist will officially start her new role on July 1, 2024.

Sigrist has previously worked as the Executive Director at Central Rivers Area Education Agency. She is looking forward to working in her community and with the Norwalk Schools Team.

Before her role at Central Rivers, Sigrist was the Director of Personalized Learning and Innovation at Van Meter Schools. There, she led initiatives to improve the curriculum, support diverse students, and promote flexible education.

Superintendent Shawn Holloway has acknowledged Sigrist’s extensive experience in education. He believes she will be a beneficial addition to the NCSD.

The NCSD community anticipates the positive contributions Sigrist will bring. Her experience and commitment make her suitable for the district, and her appointment is seen as a positive step for Norwalk’s education.
