DES MOINES, Iowa – Des Moines police are investigating after at least one person was shot in the leg on Saturday night. The shooting happened near the 1500 block of Searle Street in northwestern Des Moines at approximately 8:28 p.m., just a few blocks away from Phillips Elementary School, according to the Des Moines Police Department.
