Raccoon Valley Radio’s Severe Weather Action Team responded to reports of thunderstorms and tornado warnings Friday night. Severe weather was in the Raccoon Valley Radio’s listening area Friday evening as the SWAT team provided live coverage for nearly two hours. The team started the live broadcast at about 7:10pm Friday as the National Weather Service reported tornadic events in the Creston area. A thunderstorm warning was issued for Northwestern Greene County at 7:26pm, which then was upgraded to a tornado watch at 7:47pm, along with Guthrie and Dallas counties.
