DES MOINES, Iowa – Sunday morning begins with temperatures in the low to mid 50s across most of central Iowa, with the urban heat island of Des Moines experiencing upper 50s to near 60. A dry, mostly sunny and comfortable Sunday afternoon is expected with high pressure overhead. Following a comfortable Sunday afternoon, winds will shift to the southeast late Sunday night into Monday bringing the return of moisture, especially out to the west first.
