DES MOINES, Iowa – After a Des Moines park took some serious firework damage over the weekend, city police are forming a firework response team. City staff members first noticed the men’s restroom at Riverview Park was damaged during routine cleaning Saturday morning. That’s where they found a shattered toilet, a spent firework and another residue.
