Optimae LifeServices, a disability services provider, has opened its second intensive residential service home after the opening of its first in Ames in June. According to a news release, these homes serve adults with the most severe and persistent mental illness conditions who have functional impairments by providing 24-hour supervision, behavioral health services and other supportive services in a community-based residential setting. The Heart of Iowa Community Services Mental Health and Disability Services Region is collaborating with Optimae to provide services to residents of the new intensive residential service home in Waukee. Optimae anticipates opening its third intensive residential service home in Ankeny in November.
