A first-term incumbent faces a challenger in the general election to represent Iowa House District 41, which includes northern Ankeny.
Incumbent Rep. Molly Buck, a Democrat, is seeking a second term in the Iowa House. Republican Ryan Weldon, who previously served as president of the Ankeny School Board, is looking to flip the seat in the November election.
To help voters, the Des Moines Register sent questions to all federal and Des Moines area legislative candidates running for political office this year. Their answers have been lightly edited for length and clarity.
The general election, which includes various federal, legislative and local offices, is Nov. 5.
