DES MOINES, Iowa – A Des Moines police officer returned to his gym nearly two months after he was wounded in a shooting this summer. Senior Officer Jesse Schneider was struck by another officer’s gunfire when a suspect pointed a gun at the officers after a brief chase on the city’s southeast side.
