DES MOINES, Iowa – Twenty veterans and five of their spouses who died in central Iowa are now at their final resting place, at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery. It took decades to get to this point because, for the longest time, these veterans were forgotten. Their cremated remains were waiting to be claimed after they died.
