McDonald’s Boo Buckets are coming back: When to find them in Des Moines

Halloween is officially hitting McDonald’s: Boo Buckets are coming back.

A customer favorite, the Monster Boo Buckets come with Happy Meals and can be used for Beggar’s Night trick-or-treating . The fast-food giant will begin offering Boo Buckets on Oct. 15 for a limited time. This year, the pails come in a new color, blue, replacing last year’s purple color.

Each bucket also comes with stickers so kids can customize the look. This is the third consecutive season for the seasonal offering. McDonald’s brought back Boo Buckets as a nostalgic nod in 2022 for the first time since 2016. McDonald’s first sold the decorated plastic buckets in 1986 and has only brought them back sporadically since.

How to get a McDonald’s Boo Bucket

McDonald’s will begin offering Monster Boo Buckets on Tuesday, Oct. 15. They will replace the classic Happy Meal box as long as supplies last.

Boo Bucket prices are determined by each individual restaurant and may vary based on location, according to McDonald’s. Customers can order any of their favorite McDonald’s Happy Meal options: You can order them by placing a Happy Meal order either in the restaurant or through the app.
