DES MOINES, Iowa — Last week, Hy-Vee announced they will be removing some self-checkout kiosks from stores in an effort to increase face-to-face interactions. This week, some shoppers are sharing their reactions.
This is all part of an effort to bring back face-to-face interactions between employees and customers. Hy-Vee has not released a finalized list of which store locations will undergo these changes. Other major retailers, like Walmart and Target, have also removed self-checkout kiosks.
