DES MOINES, Iowa – An Iowa Democrat narrowly leading a state Senate race says more than a dozen ballots in her district are being challenged. Democrat Sarah Trone Garriott says there are 19 ballots in Senate District 14 being challenged by Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate. Trone Garriott says those 19 absentee ballots are some of the more than 2,000 voters whose ballots are being challenged over their citizenship status.
