Aldi first came to the United States from Germany in 1976 when it opened a store in Iowa. The company has since grown to over 2,400 locations nationally. But they’re far from done. In March of this year, the Batavia, Illinois-based Aldi issued a press release announcing an ambitious expansion plan—their stated goal was to open 800 new U.S. locations before the end of 2028.
Part of that expansion plan is coming to Iowa, where it all began for Aldi in the United States. The company has announced two new locations for the Hawkeye State. Here is where they will be:
Grand opening dates have yet to be announced for either location. These new stores will bring the total number of Aldi markets in the state to 41.
