Friday night: Drive through colorful holiday lights at Living History Farms , 11121 Hickman Road, Urbandale, through Dec. 31. Take a ride through the historical site at various times daily. Pick up tickets for Santa’s Rock N Lights for $29.99 per vehicle in advance online to reserve a time and date.

Jolly Holiday Lights

Friday night: Take a spin through the Jolly Holiday Lights in its new location at the Iowa State Fairgrounds, 3000 E. Grand Ave., Des Moines. For $20 per car or $50 per bus or limo, drive through this winter wonderland filled with large-scale holiday light displays from 5:30 to 9 p.m. daily through Jan. 4.
