Iowa Man, 33, Sentenced to 55 Years for Kidnapping Former Girlfriend

An Iowa man has been sentenced to up to 55 years in prison for kidnapping a former girlfriend in September.

Troy Mure Jr., 33 — who was previously convicted of vehicular homicide in a separate case nearly a decade prior — pleaded guilty to second-degree kidnapping, first-degree burglary and being a felon in possession of a weapon on Friday, Jan. 10, according to a news release from the Polk County Attorney’s Office .
