Perry Man Sentenced to Probation for Incident at Wild Rose Casino in Jefferson

A Perry man was recently sentenced to probation from an incident that happened at Wild Rose Casino in Jefferson.

According to court documents, 57-year-old Richard Sucher pled guilty to a Class D Felony for second degree fraudulent practices. He was sentenced to two years of probation with the Iowa Department of Correctional Services.

The charge stemmed from an incident on November 24, 2024 at Wild Rose Casino in Jefferson. Court documents show that Sucher won a $1,559 jackpot from a slot machine and he got up from the machine, while another person from an adjacent machine moved to Sucher’s seat to claim the prize. Video surveillance showed Sucher won, but he owed over $17,000 in Child Support Services in the State of Iowa Setoff Program…
